Nine Airbus A350-900s are now equipped with Lufthansa Allegris. Passengers can currently enjoy the new cabin interior on flights from Munich to San Francisco, Shanghai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chicago, Beijing and New York-JFK. Six of these aircraft already have the new First Class on board, which, in addition to the two Indian destinations and New York, will also be deployed to Chicago in a few weeks' time. The other three aircraft will receive the new First Class until mid-April.
For the 2025 summer flight schedule, the destinations San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego, Shanghai and Bengaluru can already be booked – including First Class suites – as well as New York-Newark from mid-April and Charlotte from August.
Allegris is part of the largest product and service offensive in the history of the Lufthansa Group with a total investment of 2.5 billion euros by 2025.
Lufthansa is expanding its premium offering in First Class with the "Suite Plus": a separate double cabin with ceiling-high walls and a lockable door, a large table and two wide seats that can be combined into a comfortable double bed if required. With this flying private room, Lufthansa is setting new standards in comfort and individuality in the highest class.
The facilities in the First Class Suite are second to none worldwide: Guests can warm or cool their almost one-meter-wide seats in the suite according to their personal needs and connect their own mobile device to the entertainment system. A wardrobe in the suite provides ample storage space so that travelers can change their clothes comfortably and have all their personal belongings to hand.
The highest level of service also awaits outside the suites: the crew serves the gourmet menu at the time requested by the guests. The exquisite food can be enjoyed in the private suites at the large First Class table as in the restaurant.
Suites with a personal wardrobe, large dining table, screens across the full width of the suite, heated and cooled seats, shoulder sink-in, wireless charging module and over-ear headphones from Sennheiser.
Every guest has their own understanding of premium, which is why we focus on maximum individuality and exclusivity. The First Class Suite Plus feels as private and individual as a hotel room – only at an altitude of eleven kilometers.

For the first time, guests in Lufthansa Business Class can also look forward to their own suite, which offers even more comfort and privacy thanks to chest-high walls and sliding doors. Travelers in the first rows can enjoy extended personal space, a monitor measuring up to 27 inches and plenty of storage space.
Each suite also has its own wardrobe and personal minibar. Inside, the two suites can be connected so that Business Class guests traveling together can enjoy a high degree of privacy.
In addition, Allegris gives Business Class passengers more freedom of choice than ever before. Passengers can choose between four additional seat options, depending on whether they want an extra-long bed with a length of 2.20 meters, extra space and work surface, a seat with a baby seat or simply an exclusive seat right by the window. A double seat is also available, in which the center console can be lowered and transformed into a reclining area for two people.
The seats can be transformed into a bed at least two meters long and also offer high-resolution screens (4K), generously sized dining tables, wireless charging, noise-canceling headphones and Bluetooth connectivity. All seats are also equipped with seat heating and cooling so that Business Class travelers can flexibly adjust their own comfort temperature. For a particularly comfortable sleep on the side, they also have a shoulder sink-in feature so that the shoulder can sink into the seat, increasing sleeping comfort for side sleepers. A tablet-sized control unit provides access to all seat, lighting, heating/cooling and entertainment functions. It goes without saying that every seat can be reached directly from the aisle.
Five seat options (including an extra-long bed, more personal space or a double seat), seat heating and cooling, shoulder sink-in, wireless charging module and a personal minibar in the suite. Your own devices (mobile devices, wireless headphones) can be connected to the entertainment system via Bluetooth.
The Allegris seat offers more legroom, a fold-out leg rest and can be moved even further back than the current model. However, because it is integrated into a hard shell, the adjustment has no effect on passengers in the row behind. The table and monitor always remain in position. For greater comfort, Premium Economy Class passengers also receive a travel toiletry bag made from sustainable materials.

With the new Allegris product generation, Lufthansa is also giving its guests significantly more choice in Economy Class: In future, travelers will have the option of booking seats in the first rows with more legroom or a free adjacent seat.

With the "Allegris" service, more than 80 brand-new Lufthansa aircraft such as the Boeing 787-9, Airbus A350-900, Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 777-9 will fly to destinations all over the world in future. Aircraft already in service for Lufthansa, such as the Boeing 747-8, will also be retrofitted. The simultaneous improvement of the travel experience in all classes and the replacement of over 27,000 seats are unique in Lufthansa's history. This underlines the company's clear premium and quality claim. The Lufthansa Group is investing a total of 2.5 billion euros in product and service by 2025.
The Lufthansa Group is also about to embark on the largest fleet modernization in the company's history. Over 200 new short and long-haul aircraft are to be delivered to the Group's airlines by 2030. This will enable the Lufthansa Group to significantly reduce the average CO₂ emissions of its fleet. For example, the ultra-modern "Dreamliner" long-haul aircraft will only consume an average of around 2.5 liters of kerosene per passenger and 100 kilometers of flight: up to 30 percent less than the previous model.
The developers also focused on sustainability aspects during the product development of Allegris: recyclable materials were used for all 27,000 seats - as well as for blankets, cushions and covers.
The Lufthansa Group has set itself ambitious climate protection targets and is aiming for a neutral carbon footprint by 2050. By 2030, the aviation group aims to halve its net CO₂ emissions compared to 2019 through reduction and compensation measures. The reduction roadmap to 2030 was validated by the independent Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in 2022.
